13 Ghanaian Explorers Completes Their 10,000-kilometers Car Drive From Accra To London

Thirteen (13) Ghanaian explorers completes their 10,000-kilometers car drive from Accra, Ghana, to London, UK.

They had several stops not only fill up their tanks but to also repair their broken down vehicles.

For the Accra to London journey, the explorers deployed 5 vehicles, Lexus RX and a Ford Raptor pickup truck.

Others cars in the entourage includes a Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G-Wagon) and a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 SUVs.

A group of thirteen Ghanaians consisting of twelve men and a woman have arrived in London, completing their 16-day, 10,000 kilometers (6,214 miles) car drive from Accra, Ghana, to the United Kingdom.

According to the explorers, they were inspired by stories of people driving vehicles from Europe to Africa, especially Ghana.

While in Spain, one of them, in an interview on Accra-based Peace FM, said :

“We are explorers and we are doing this for fun. We read about people driving from Europe to Ghana all the time, and we also planned to do it and we are almost there”.

One of the explorers, Cyprian Wealth, while updating their followers on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote :

“Accra to London. Drive for digitalization. 10,000km. The journey is the destination.”

They earlier estimated to arrive in London between August 6 (Sunday) or August 7 (Monday) 2023, after leaving their country on Sunday, July 22nd.

As expected, their journey didn’t go smoothly, as they had several stops not only fill up their tanks but to also repair their broken down vehicles.

For the Accra to London journey, the explorers deployed 5 vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G-Wagon) and a Ford F-150 Raptor pickup truck. Others cars in the entourage includes a Lexus RX 350 Crossover SUV, and two Toyota Land Cruiser 200 SUVs.
