Africans are buzzing with excitement following Nick Cannon’s announcement to bring the renowned “Wild ‘N Out” show to the continent. The American comedian, television host, actor, and rapper, known for his dynamic presence in the entertainment industry, shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), sparking a wave of anticipation and enthusiasm.

Nick Cannon revealed that he will be searching for talented and funny individuals to join the show, with plans to launch “Wild ‘N Out” in ten African countries. The casting process is already underway, with Cannon inviting comedians from Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Botswana, Ghana, Egypt, Morocco, Ethiopia, Somalia, and South Africa (specifically Cape Town and Johannesburg) to showcase their skills.

“Africa, are you ready? We’re bringing Wild ‘N Out to the motherland! I’m looking for the funniest and most talented people on the Continent!” Cannon announced. “Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Botswana, Ghana, Egypt, Morocco, Ethiopia, Somalia, Cape Town, and Johannesburg! What country has the best comedians? We are about to find out! Tag them, comment, and repost!”

“Wild ‘N Out,” an American sketch comedy and battle rap improv game show created by Cannon, debuted on July 28, 2005. The show pits two teams of comedians against each other in a series of improvisational comedy games, often featuring musical performances by guest captains.

Cannon, who began his career as a teenager on “All That” before hosting shows like “The Nick Cannon Show,” “America’s Got Talent,” “Lip Sync Battle Shorties,” and “The Masked Singer,” aims to tap into Africa’s rich pool of comedic talent. By expanding “Wild ‘N Out” to Africa, he hopes to provide a platform for aspiring comedians to gain international recognition.

The announcement promises to spotlight and support local comedic talents, fostering cultural exchange and celebrating the diverse humour across the continent. Cannon expressed his excitement at the prospect of discovering fresh comedic voices and engaging with Africa’s vibrant cultures.

In his Instagram post, he reiterated his call to action: “Africa, are you ready?! We’re bringing Wild ‘N Out to the Motherland! I’m looking for the funniest and most talented people on the Continent!
